Less Sag, Less Bag, More Attractive Eyes

Usually caused by weakened skin tissue around the eyes that allows fluid to accumulate, eye bags are never a look that anybody wants. Fortunately, there are several methods that you can try to help you get rid of your eye bags, from lifestyle factors that can be changed to effective products that should be used.

Regular Exercise
In the same way that a facial massage relieves the pressure around your eyes, regular exercise is known for being able to not only prevent visible signs of aging but also promote a healthy complexion. There are many facial yoga techniques that will be able to gently tone the muscles around your eyes, strengthening the area and putting a stop to any sagging.

Allergies
Those who suffer from allergies, as well as eye bags, are likely to have noticed the onset of puffy eyes whenever allergies flare up. Keeping your allergies under control will go a long way in preventing this, whether that means that you visit a doctor to learn about medication or create a blend of allergy-fighting essential oils.

Facial Massage
Eye bags are often caused by lymphatic congestion, and a gentle facial massage is a great way to relieve this. Place your ring fingers in the corners of your eyes that are nearest your nose, and then gently rotate them around your eye line. While this may feel slightly uncomfortable at first, this is only because you are relieving the congestion, and it will not be long before you notice you eyes begin to de-puff. This technique also provides a boost to your circulation, which will brighten up your overall complexion.

Eye Cream
When it comes to eliminating eye bags, an eye cream is absolutely essential but needs to be one that has been designed specifically for reducing eye bags and sagging. This means that it will contain calming and soothing ingredients, and will help to immediately de-puff the skin around your eyes. However, keep in mind that everybody’s skin is different, so you may need to try a few different eye creams before finding the one that works best for you.

Sleeping Position
The position in which you sleep may be contributing to your eye bags without you realizing. Sleeping on your back is the most beneficial position, as this prevents gravity from causing fluid to build up around the eyes. Adding an extra pillow to keep your head raised even more will likely bring about noticeable differences, although you will need to ensure that you do not turn back onto your side in the middle of the night.

Cleanse Before Bed
Going to bed without cleansing your face, even if you have not worn any makeup that day, can seriously exacerbate eye bags. A gentle cleanser will help your skin to avoid any irritation, and will do your overall complexion a world of good.

Eye bags can seriously detract from your appearance, and while makeup may provide a temporary fix, this will not help you to eradicate the problem in the long run. From investing in some soothing eye creams to altering your sleeping position, these adjustments will all help when it comes to eradicating sagging around the eyes, and will soon bring you a brighter and healthier complexion.
