When it comes to the hotels in Vegas, not all of them are appropriate for a family reunion, but there are some that offer unbeatable family-oriented entertainment and activities. The Mandalay Bay Hotel is a must for families who enjoy spending time in the water, as their pool complex consists of a variety of different swimming pools surrounded by 2700 tons of imported sand. For those who want to ensure that there is plenty of non-stop fun, Circus Circus is a hotel that has a giant indoor amusement park, packed with different rides, games and activities. The MGM Grand is another hotel well-suited to family reunions, as it is elegant enough to appeal to the adults but exciting enough, with its lion habitat, swimming pools and interactive CSI game, to keep the children entertained.

What to Do
When it comes to activities, your options are almost endless in Vegas. If your family reunion group is quite large, it might be a good idea to plan one activity or meal each day that the whole group will attend together, and then split the large group into smaller groups for different daily activities, ensuring that everyone is able to see or do something that appeals to them. Activities that the whole family may enjoy include a gondola ride at the Venetian, a visit to the Hoover Dam and the Grand Canyon, checking out some of the city’s many quirky museums, attending a show, and taking in the view from the top of the Eiffel Tower at Paris. For those who want some adrenaline-filled action, the roller coaster at New York-New York is the biggest and fastest in all of Vegas, twisting and dipping its way around the large hotel complex.

Las Vegas is packed with an astounding number of restaurants, and there are plenty that would suit a family reunion, no matter how large your group may be. The Buffet at Bellagio is one of the best all-you-can-eats that you will find on the strip, with plenty of delicious delicacies for the adults, from crab legs to sushi to caviar. 800 Degrees at the Monte Carlo is a create-your-own pizzeria that the whole family will enjoy, while Giada at The Cromwell is more elegant, but still casual enough for a family reunion meal. For a downtown Vegas diner that serves up some of the tastiest pancake stacks in town, Du-Par’s at Golden Gate is where to go, while a meal at Gordon Ramsay BurGR is sure to excite any fans of the celebrity chef, and promises to please with its classic American menu items.
Las Vegas has been trying hard to shed its adults-only reputation, and this is why there are so many more family-friendly venues and activities around, making the city ideal for a family reunion.
